MoVimento 5 Stelle outclasses other parties – it has the largest group of fans on Facebook.


MoVimento 5 Stelle had the most visible daily growth in number of new fans. It’s worth to note that Forza Italia and Lega – Salvini Premier fanpages also were increasing their fan growth in the last few days.

Taking into consideration the increase from first value, Movimento 5 Stelle reached the biggest number of new fans on Facebook.

Situation looks almost the same on Twitter where Movimento 5 Stelle dominated above all the others. However, here we can see that Partito Democratico is on the second place in the overall followers amount.

The correlation of daily growths in amounts of followers is noticeable between @mov5stelle and @pdnetwork.

Again, Movimento 5 Stelle reached the highest increase in the amount of new followers.

Silvio Berlusconi and Luigi Di Maio were the most popular leaders in social media. The leader of Forza Italia generated just a slightly better numbers in the last few days but Di Maio prevailed in the overall reach and mentions amount.

The leader of Lega Nord, Matteo Salvini, gained satisfying results and beat Berlusconi in overall reach and mentions amount.

Matteo Renzi, the leader of Partito Democratico, gained overall moderate popularity in social media but his reach grew in the last few days.

Luigi Di Maio dominated in most regions. Salvini and Berlusconi gained the highest interest in comparable number of regions. Popularity of Matteo Renzi was rather low.

Movimento 5 Stelle and it’s leader, Luigi Di Maio, were the most popular political option on the Internet and in social media. However, Silvio Berlusconi and his Forza Italia also gained noticable popularity, despite relatively low amount of fans and followers. Partito Democratico had the satisfying amount of supporters in social media but it’s leader, Matteo Renzi, got only moderate popularity and overall that party didn’t gain much interest of net surfers. Lega Nord reached average results but it’s leader, Matteo Salvini, gained very high reach in social media and was as popular as Silvio Berlusconi.
